Twisty calls it

The latest patriarchal excess to trigger Twisty's feminist rage is the new pink-bottled vodka. Just one quote here:
Femininity, in fact, can’t even be practiced without stuff (which is one way of debunking the argument that it is an inherited sex trait). It is simply not possible for a woman without makeup and deodorant and lingerie and kitten heels and diet pills and clothes without pockets and anti-wrinkle cream that promises “glowing skin” and self-help books explaining the best ways to suck up to men and jewelry and razors and tweezers and lemon-scented cleaning products and boxes of Lean Cuisine in the freezer — all stuff that must be bought — to be fully feminine.
Femininity — selling it, doing it, approving of it, pinking it, drinking it — is antifeminist, fool.

Hi Linda, I know how frustrating it can be to get hooked on a blog that doesn't have new postings very often. Mostly, for quite a while I've been too busy reading other blogs (such as Reclusive Leftist and Riverdaughter)to post to mine. Maybe your comment will encourage me! Thanks for being there.

I've never been a fan of pink and as a kid I was a "tom-boy" (a term I've always hated). As a young girl, I never could understand why girls couldn't play baseball, army, and tackle football without being dubbed as some kind of freak of nature. I was raised with four older brothers and held my own quite nicely when they bullied me (I broke my brother's nose once when he pushed me too far...he never bullied me again. For that...for sticking up for myself, I was a "tom-boy". Ugh.

Now, I could use a bottle of Vodka... and make mine the one in the blue bottle, please. ;-)

PS: Notice that nuns don't wear pink. They wear black because the Darth Vader look is much more intimidating than the pink, "Hello Kitty" look. Never mess with the nuns, they'll make you sorry you were ever born. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my retired blog...I'm going crazy since it's closed, I miss it so much!
